Fremco cable blowing certification – Duration Two days

On this two day certification corrse we look at the requirements for the ducting, what to do and what not to do. Then we use time on calibrating the blowing machine. Lastley blowing fiber cables in ducts. How to test the system, before blowing, and also requirements for the air. The course does not include spliceing and so on.

CFOT FOA Certified Fiber Optic Technician – Duration five days

Building a copmlete fiberoptic installation, preparing cables, fibers, splicing, mounting connectors, and simple attenuation and OTDR measurements. About 50% theory and 50% hands on. The course ends with the posability of a CFOT certification

The first day starts with fiber theory, the different types of fibers, IL(Insertion Loss) and RL(Return Loss), Fiber optic safty, and finishes with cable preperation, this is removing the outer sheath, and removing tubes, and cleaning the fibers. The cable prepaired is a Loosetube gel filled cable.

The second day is more theory, with connecters, IL and RL values, an introduction to CD and PMD. And the lab is splicing. this is fusion splicing, and the start of splicing the prepaired fibers from the first day.

The third day is measuring, OLTS(Optical Loss Test Set), on premade installations and continued splicing on the installation we are building. On the third day we also build an installation with pre polsihed connecters, using tifgt buffer cable.

The fourth day is budgets and standards, calculating the loss for the built installation, how to desing an installation between two racks, and the labs, is finishing the installation, measuring with the OLTS, looking for mistakes, wich can be found during the measuring.

The fith day is an introduction to OTDR testing, and all the built installations are connected together and tested, this usually totals about 1,5 to 2 Km. In the afternoon we have the CFOT certification

              

KeyFibre – Duration one day

On this 1 day course you will mount polish free connecters and mechinical splices from KeyFibre. After mounting the connecters and splices you will measure the components for attenuation and reflectance. This is a very good solution if you need to mount few connectors, or are not interested in investing in a splicer

CCTT – Fluke Networks DSX Fiber certification – Duration 2 days

This two day certification gives you the ability to be able to certify fiber installations up to the latest ISO, TIA and EN standards, be able to test and faultfind installations, and afterwords print documentation to complete the certification using LinkWare
We Flukes DSX-5000 CableAnalyzer, certfiber and optifiber. This means you will be able to test an installation with the OLTS , and also with the OTDR module.
Day 1 is Tier 1 measuring 1,2 and 3 reference methods, also using Encircled Flux cables
Day 2 is Tier 2 OTDR measuring
After completion of the traing you can take the certification test, which gives you a Fluke certificate.

This one day certification gives you the ability to be able to certify copper installations up to the latest ISO, TIA and EN standards, be able to test and faultfind installations, and afterwords print documentation to complete the certification using LinkWare.during the training we use  Flukes DSX-5000 CableAnalyzer, and finish of with a test resulting in a certification from Fluke.

we look at all the measurments which are are needed, NEXT, FEXT, ACR, and many other including the new ones like TCL, ELTCTL, what you are measuring, and if the installation fails, what is the cause. How do you do alien crosstalk, how many measurements do you need to make.

You will be able to chose the right standard, and will be able to make measuremets faster, and deliver reports to the customer, which will be accepted first time

During the three days the trainees will blow EPFU fiber and prepare cables , splice togeather and measure with OLTS and OTDR. They will also make a budget calculation on the built installation.

Cables, fiber, blowing equipment is all from Prysmian.

Splicer , OLTS , OTDR is your equipment , or we will use Exfo, Agizer, Sumitomo

The training session finishes with a test, giving a certificate. The certification will give you the possibility of 20 year warranty
